Free Prescription cards (in US)
« on: July 02, 2013, 08:54:17 PM »
Not sure how many of you use the free medication cards that's been going around for a while. Where I work, they are pushing people to use them (generally uninsured so it's great for them since it's free)

I got a few of them myself (haven't needed to use them) and I passed some out to family/friends who say it has saved them money so it works. I have no idea who is funding these but I'm inclined to think it's backed by something in Obamacare, they started popping up around the same time it passed

http://www.medicationcard.org/ <--- One I "ordered" some from, gave me a handful (about 10), free shipping too and while it ask for name, it doesn't seem to really check so fill out a fake name if you want. Address should be real so it gets to you :S
https://encrypted.google.com/search?q=pharmacy+rx+card <-- general search on them, seems to be quite a few.

not sure if this has been posted here, and I'm not trying to advocate anything from it but thought it was a good deal for being free. Now I have no idea what kind of information is collected from this (IE if they are tracking what medications are being bought with this) but I don't really mind that. Medication history is personal info to some people but I don't really consider it "private" but in case some do, they may not want to use it if they feel like there's some "hidden cost" to using it.
