I will hopefully inherit a money pit of a house, that we would very much like to keep nonetheless. So I’m factoring in a few extra 100 000 in our FIRE plans to get it up to date, and hopefully lower the continuous need for maintenance. After the initial investments, maybe we could even make enough from Airbnb and other business options to break even after a few years.

My best guess is that the most I'll get is $100,000, and maybe in 10-30 years. Mom is 60 and grandma is 90. If it's 10 years, then I'll pay off the mortgage balance and fund college tuition. It'll be a big help. Otherwise, I anticipate FIRE-ing 5-ish years after that when there's no payments to make.
