Everything's coming up Mustache!
« on: April 09, 2015, 06:15:25 AM »
I think DH and I are finally on the right track with our spending (like, a week in, but hey, that counts, right?).

And now, everything is coming up Mustache!

(My super cute--in case you couldn't tell--hound dog with her favorite toy.)

(My daughter is on a ghost- and monster-drawing kick, and for some reason, they ALL have mustaches.)

My mom says I'm cool...

And mom's are definitely the best judge of that.  ;-)

You've started and that counts BIG because it is (duh!) the first necessary step.  And remember: a journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step.  You are on your way.  Now work hard to stay on the path.

Good luck.

Love the mustache photos GM! Spending will fluctuate, one of the things I admire about you is you keep a sharp eye on the budget and are well aware of when you are spending too much, and reel it back in. You will find a "sweet spot" in your spending budget, I have fulll confidence. Best of luck!

And a mustache that reaches to your knees starts with just a single whisker.

Just remember to factor in when you would like to FIRE into what that spending sweet spot is.

Oh yeah, that.  We've pretty much been approaching it half-assed backwards:  how much do we want to spend, how much does that leave us to save, when can we FIRE.  Struggling a little with making sacrifices in order to FIRE earlier, though I'd like to option to do that.  Need to keep working on the "you can afford anything, you can't afford everything" philosophy.
