Every time I run a/c, one vent gets very wet around it. HELP

Ac was replaced 2 years ago. Installer says it's due to a leak in the roof. It hasn't rained in weeks.   Any DIY suggestions?

Where is the evaporator coil in relation to the vent?  Sounds to me like it's not draining properly.

I believe it's at ground level outside in the a/c unit

The condenser is outside but surely the evaporator coil is inside. In the attic, I'd guess. Have you ever cleaned out the drain?

The outside bit is the hot bit.  That doesn't build up water.

Inside, typically in your furnace stack, you've got the cold bits.  Those condense moisture out of the air.

Said moisture typically drains into a drain pan, which then has a drain tube going somewhere.  If that drain tube is clogged, the water will end up somewhere else in your house.

Find that drain tube and check it.
