Enjoy the free things in life!

Christmas and winter in Sweden. I have spent the day with my family and with running along along the beach and through the pine forrest I live in. There is not a single thing I want to buy that I feel would add much to my life. I have  a great family, stable economy and I get to help out people when doing my job.

I wish more people would realize that buying a lot of things isn't the way to improve their lives. I am happy I have found MMM and this board as a counterweight to the consumerism in society.

Merry Christmas! I completely agree with your sentiment. There's so much freedom to be had in being content with one's life. Oh yeah and in not buying stuff too :)

Made breakfast for me and my girl.  Simple really.  Except 100 years ago I wouldn't have had the time, nor energy to throw this all together, nor would I be able to procure half the ingredients at anywhere near these prices/freshness.  We have a fridge and kitchen full of food, we have each other, we have freedom-we are RICH.

It is easy to forget all the things in life we take for granted.

Yes!   I have been reading a library book on my iPad.  Assembling a workbench I got for Christmas and thinking of all the fun projects ahead.  Baking bread to take to dinner at our friends house.  Calling family to check in on their lives.  Life is so very good.

Went to a friends horse barn.  Got a great, whole body workout (scooping poop).  Played with a couple of cute horses, rode a Tennessee Walker in return for the cleaning-A great day
