Since this no doubt will turn into more political bickering, it probably belongs in the off-topic forum.

However, this is a nice reminder to stock up on food, water, and other emergency supplies.

The first three paragraphs were an Op-Ed hit piece followed by the rest reviewing the author's recently published book (Oct. 2019). Yep. good reporting there.

This article is a good example of how when you have a hammer (or book to sell) everything looks like a nail.

Interesting idea, but not convincing. A political “solution” to all our needs is very likely to be advertised. Very unlikely to be delivered.

To be fair, only paragraphs 4-7 summarize his book. The rest is "analysis."
