Downsizing - movie to general population?
« on: December 21, 2017, 11:24:43 AM »
The moviepass thread got me to thinking of movies, which lead me to this;

Is it possible that the movie 'Downsizing' will 'educate' the general population that they can actually live better by downsizing their expenses?

Not likely - the film is an obviously over cast piece of Oscar bait that will be seen by relatively few people. Reviews are coming in mixed. Word of mouth is likely to be mixed as well since environmental message movies by Big Hollywood are usually seen as cynical attempts to be "topical".

^+1 I agree. Just like political agenda movies they don't really sway ideals one way or another and at most after a little noise disappear.

And here it looked to me like a Honey I Shrunk the Kids knockoff.
