Spent about $400 on the weekend.

$200 on an Amazon Kindle that I had my eye on for quite a while.
$200 on a pair of RayBans as I was beginning to freak out that my cheap sunglasses had no UV filter and were dangerous.

So happy with both.
The Kindle is amazing and I'm already 2/3rds through "Flash Boys"

The sunglasses are incredible, glas I paid the extra for polarized lenses! Really good.

I look at it like this, we live in a country where 99% of the days sunglasses are needed, so that was money well spend.

Also the kindel saves you a hell of a lot of space for book shelves and living space. No need to store all them books. I read that much if I had to store all the books I read I would run out of space pretty quickly. And before anyone says anything, there are no public libraries in the UAE. Unless you like Islamic Scripture.

And let me guess Dan, you still got a 75% savings rate?

We spent @ $100 on our family of five. It broke down to @ $20 for each of our three kids baskets and @ $40 on Easter dinner. The dinner has lasted us two nights now and a lunch in between, so not too bad I guess as years ago we would have spent $200 - $300+ just on the kids alone.

DD is on her own now, she bought her own Laura Secord egg, and informed me it was delicious.

Just dropped $20 on chocolates and fancy jelly beans at Aldi.  Everything was 50% off or more.

It's an embarrassingly large amount of candy.  But we use it in baking and the packaging says it won't expire for 8-12 months.  :)  So it'll be delicious this summer, and next fall, and into the winter months.  We'll probably start running low around Halloween or Christmas.  Just in time for the next half off sales.

I'm regretting the purchase a little bit because I'm working on a pictorial blog post covering all the groceries we bought in April.  So I have to disclose (in graphic details) all the candy we bought.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
