Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. My name is Kristen I am 28 and have competed in rodeos my whole life.
This being said I will be forever spending money because my horses are my kids and the one thing I enjoy & love.
Okay so now that's out of the way. I have a truck payment for another 3 1/2 years, & 20k in student loans.
For a single woman I make good money but I'm climbing out of a hole. Between my truck & trailer being stolen not once but twice and the insurance not paying for the 2nd one I have had to start over multiple times from scratch. I knew nothing about managing money, credit etc when I went to college at 17 & totally screwed up my credit. I am now trying to fix this and have been reading everything I can get my hands on about finances, get out of debt ideas and money saving ideas.
I know once I pay off my current loans I will not be getting back into anymore loans. I have a plan of buying an old airtstream travel trailer and fixing it up for 2 reasons; 1 being it will allow me to live simply and inexpensively 2 being airstreams once fixed up and fixed up nicely can be resold at a later date for the same if not more than what I will put in it.
I am interested in investing and anything ya'll can think. I am all ears for any and all advise, besides me selling my horse because he is my sanity through it all. :) Again any and all advise/suggestions are very much appreciated!
