Danish TV Presents: Undressed - TV Show about consumerism
« on: January 14, 2015, 09:12:24 AM »
I can't figure out if this is a great idea or just another reality shows. The Danish National TV has produced a show where the participants get stripped of all their possessions.

They place all their stuff in a huge container and the rule is that they can only bring back one item from the container every 24 hours.

The intention is to focus on the hyper-consumerism in this country and to start the discussion about what we really need/minimalism.

The show is called "undressed".

The show trailer can be seen here (NSFW): http://ekstrabladet.dk/flash/filmogtv/tv/nyt-dr-eksperiment-splitternoegen-paa-tv/5397760

Warning, the trailer contains nudity and can't be considered "not safe for work", you have been warned.

So is this just another "reality"-thing or do you think it could be used to spark a debate? I will watch the first episode tonight and post some impressions.
