Does anyone know of any blogs out there that aren't smug D-I-N-Ks who paid of 20 - 40- 60 K in debt with 5 easy steps or people who came out of the womb with their frugality firmly entrenched (whos biggest misstep was using a credit card to pay for something in the 90s). I am not mustachian, but am very much a wannabe and am having trouble finding someone to follow that I can actually relate to. Some one that knows the constant struggle between "you only live once(so let's have fun)" and "I am so tired of this rat race my head might explode so we are going to be eating beans and rice for the month of January" (...only to the get to the 15th of the month to go out for dinner...because you only live once right?)
I like Frugalwoods, and there is lots of good stuff there...but they are in the born frugal category. For those of us who are trying to change our spendy ways, frugality doesn't come naturally and we are starting behind the 8-ball with a string of poor financial choices hanging over us. I am looking for stories where people are the middle or nearing the end of their transformation who have some ideas and experiences that I can related to. Maybe it doesn't exist...but they must be out there! It's the internet! Google hasn't turned up much for me so any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!
