Blocked by Forum

I’m hoping some smart folks can shed some light on this. I can’t access the forum with this user name from my iPhone or my chrome book. I get a message saying:

An Error Has Occurred!

Sorry Wings5, you are banned from using this forum!
Spamming blog links a dozen+ times in violation of forum spam rules.
This ban is not set to expire.

I’m kinda clueless about what’s going on. Has anyone seen this before? Anyone got any ideas on how to restore access from those other devices?

According to what I've seen in discussions like https://forum.mrmoneymustache.com/forum-information-faqs/why-was-i-banned/, it can often be fixed by purging your history and cookies.  If that doesn't help, try pinging one of the moderators for further help.  Including @arebelspy  and @FrugalToque to see if they are online and can work with you directly.

FYI, as a long time user of tech and more than a decade of testing websites, I HIGHLY recommend purging this stuff frequently.  I do it daily if not more often.  Minimizes lots of hassles as does rebooting the hardware every few days if not daily.

Yep, this happened to me recently. Deleting the cache should fix it.

It happens to me every few days, I have to delete my history and restart my phone.

It's super annoying.

Happens to my every time I connect to Southwest wifi and try to access the forum.  Once I land I have to clear my cache and cookies for it to work again.

I had a problem a while back, and I had the thought of contacting a moderator, but I couldn't log on, to contact a moderator.
 Is there another way to contact a moderator?

I had the same problem this week-- it happened when I tried logging on using the airport wifi and was resolved when I finally thought to clear my history!

Someone should compile a list of 'ban zones'.  If I log on to the forum from the Charles De Gaulle airport, I get the ban message -

Sorry EV you are banned from using this forum
Race baiting, trolling
This ban is not set to expire.

Have to clear the last hour of browsing data every time because I forget that I'm logged in when I go to the forum.  Doh.

Yep, about every 2-3 days I get a notice that I'm permanently banned for being rude. I find it funny.

I'm glad you find it funny, because it pisses me off. How dare they do this to you, a wise and beloved member? ;-)

Interestingly, this forum is also blocked by our school district's public wifi. I've always wondered why.
