My washing machine died today. What's the best stackable washer and dryer out there?

I'm guessing you're looking for a new-from-a-store answer, but seriously the best Washer/Dryer combo from a mustachian standpoint is to search CL.

Almost new Washer/Dryers are two items that routinely pop up on CL for less than half of new. It seems to be a function of people moving / combining households and how big/clunky they are, which results in there being a surplus available only to people within driving distance.  We picked up our last set (a front-loading GE about 3 years old + matching dryer) for $400 when the equivalent pair was >$1,000 at Home Depot.  Five years later they we haven't had a single issue with either.

Already done this research-
Whirlpool Cabrio or Speed Queen
Both quality, basic, no frills top loaders made in the US.

I bought this set and give it a big thumbs up.  It fits perfectly in my condo’s laundry closet and washes and rinses my clothes so much better than the 20 year old set it replaced.  I used the Ibotta app to get a small percentage rebate on the purchase and cashed in some United miles for a $200 Home Depot gift card to get the price down.
