Best credit card "points" offers today?
« on: September 20, 2017, 07:21:59 PM »
Hello,

I know there is a "100K Chase Sapphire" thread in this forum, but that offer is no longer valid (it's down to 50K points).

Mad Fientist has his Travel Cards comparison page but it doesn't seem like a very long list.

What is the best new signup points deal out there today (Fall of 2017) for "travel hacking"?

Check out the Travel Miles 101 site:

http://www.travelmiles101.com

and particularly their card ratings page:

http://www.cardratings.com/advisors/travelmiles101?SRC=610622

Lots of great info here and links--they make money off the links, but I'm happy to have them make a little off me--they've pointed me to some great points deals. Take a look at the "Recently increased or limited time bonuses."

The Chase Ink Preferred is available with 80k bonus, almost as good as the CSR offer last year. This is a business card, but plenty of people applied with made up businesses and got approved.
My referral link: https://applynow.chase.com/FlexAppWeb/renderApp.do?SPID=FP3F&CELL=63HB&MSC=1545025211

Another good deal is to get two Chase Southwest cards (120k total points), which then qualifies you for companion pass.

You just missed out on a great Merrill offer that ended, but check out my favorite blog for the latest deals: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/best-current-credit-card-sign-bonuses/

I just put this list together for someone else:

Bank of America, 50k points after 3k spend, + $100 travel credit per calendar year (so you can get it twice before cancelling)
https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit-cards/products/premium-rewards-credit-card.

chase biz, 80k miles (equal to $1000 in airfare) after 5k spend. Annual fee of $95 not waived, but still worth it for the first year.

citi, 50k miles (equal to $625 in airfare) after 4k spendi:

Doctor of Credit accepts no affiliate links from credit card companies so his list has some offerings from banks you don't think about getting a travel card from.

https://www.doctorofcredit.com/spreadsheet-current-recent-credit-card-signup-bonuses-major-issuers/

he also has a good list of *all* current public offerings as well as info as to what the *best* offer has been recently on the card.  That give you the info to help decide whether to get now or wait for a better offer.
