Hi all,
I'm a huge MMM fan (read
every post). In fact, I spent all of 2017 writing a blog (52 posts) summarizing the lessons of MMM and other FI bloggers:
https://medium.com/personal-finance-series-by-richard-reisRecently, I realized that no app has been built
specifically for our movement. Mint, Personal Capital, NerdWallet, etc weren't really built for us.
By "for us" I mean an app that:
1. Looks at your income.
2. Calculates how much you need to retire (yearly spending * 25)
3. Helps you get to that amount (helps you pay off debt, encourages you to save money, looks at cheaper alternatives in your area for things like wifi or any service, etc...).
So my question is: Have any of you used one (or more) of the finance apps out there and thought "I wish it did this" or "I would LOVE if it did this"? If so, what is "this"? I really want to build it because I believe our approach to personal finance is
by far the best one out there and yet highly underserved.
