Anyone read Simplicity Parenting?

Has anyone else read this book?  The concept is that TOO MUCH STUFF and TOO MANY CHOICES create stress for parents and children.  It fits right in with the MMM philosophy!

I'll admit I struggle with reigning in spending on the kids.  I want to take them to the kids museum, zoo, jump zone, and buy them tons of art supplies, musical instruments, board games, books, puzzles, etc.!  The book really helped me simplify things.

I also like that it advocates waiting until the children are closer to 10 or 11 to start sports, since that is the age when kids are ready to engage in team-building activities and you do not want them to be already burned out (physically and emotionally) by the time they are that age.

I always try to remember that mantra when I'm out shopping or planning Christmas gifts.  Too much stuff and too many choices!

I read that book.  It's great and sure does support this Mustachian lifestyle. I had my son in a Waldorf preschool and that's how I found the book.

YES.  Love the book.  I reread it every few years when I feel the stuff, activities or choices are creeping back up.  Its one of those parenting books that calms you down versus scaring the crap out of you that you are not doing enough.
