Any other truckers out there?

especially teams running under your own authority?

I'd love to hear how you are balancing work/home.

DH and I have been driving together for about 10 years. Until our most recent gig I found it ironic that we were pretty frugal in our home life but made a living hauling frequently unnecessary stuff all over the country in a vehicle that averaged 7 miles/gallon.

Now we haul stuff that I feel better about (bulk food for Azure Standard) but I still look forward to working less.

Thanks

Wow, your truck got 7mpg? That's pretty damn good gas per mile-pound, right?

Better than average. The Feds assume 5.5 mpg for road tax purposes.

More efficient engine + more aerodynamic body - all the unnecessary chrome junk.
