Here's the reason you'll never see me post to the Relatives who Just Don't Get It thread (although I find it entertaining). To whit, this weekend I heard this from my 40-something brother:

"I am not exaggerating when I say I'd sooner live in a cardboard box than work a 9-5 job".

This is a guy who bought his first rental property in college and has been independently wealthy for at least 15 years.

BTW, I used to work with a guy named Don Cool. Best Sales Rep's name ever. Of course, it helped that he really was.
