Interesting to see how much getting (1) Housing (2) Transportation and (3) Food choices under control matters from an overall spend perspective.
Also interesting to see Health Care rising and that having the potential to upend the mix and thus stress a longer term withdrawal rate

Interesting, though I'm not sure I agree with your conclusion about health care. Seems that's gone up <$1k in a decade, and <$2k in the last 50 years. Housing is a much more dramatic increase, and the other "necessary" expenses (food, clothing, transportation) are all trending downward.
Surprising to me that we spend less on Transporation today than we did in the previous 3 decades.
