"How long will my money last?" calculator
« on: March 09, 2014, 01:39:50 PM »
I found this today and thought it was simple and helpful to give a general idea of what happens when you withdraw regularly from savings that continue to earn interest:

Anyone have comments, criticisms, etc.?

It does appear to do math correctly.

For real world considerations, FIRECalc seems more useful.

And www.cfiresim.com is a more up to date, more features, better version of FIRECalc. ;)

The best calculator on calcxml is the "how much do I need to save", IMO.

I'm a little puzzled on how the Social Security calculator works.
