I have some virtually all of the funds in our private S&S ISAs in Vanguard LifeStrategy 80%.

I have my baby son in LS100, and my wife has hers in LS100 also haha.

There is a considerable tilt to UK at around 25%....  does anyone feel overexposed, or underexposed in LS in any way?

I've divested from various global/US faced trackers and favour value via All-World High Dividend Yield, Developed Europe and Emerging Markets funds.

Vanguard ISA linked to monthly payments to the LS100. Got time to ride it out.

A couple peer to peer lending ISAs returning  a little over 20% for 12 months commitment. *
A couple 5% low deposit(£3000yr max) savings account that'll need shuffling in a year. **

My workplace pension paying the full 6% match.

A super risky forex trading account that has returned about 105% this year so far (even after my 18% loss this month!) but could go bust at any time! ***

*used a customer link to get £100 bonus then another bonus for onward referral to our other account. I have a link if you'd like to claim £100 referral bonus in 12 months.

PTF as I really don't know where to start. No debt as such (only mortgage) but just can't seem to put money into savings. Think I need to set up an account somewhere and figure an amount to budget and hide it away.

*edited to update
Having looked at Vanguard ISA accounts as recommended by OP, does anyone have thoughts on my transferring an old work pension fund into a Vanguard Target Retirement Fund? Sorry, total newbie without a clue here!!

I think you need to work out your goals.
Have you short term spending goals?
Long term / retirement goals?
Have you an emergency fund in place?

These things all require money in different places really.

Somewhere(I'll edit this post when I find it) there is a nice flow chart on UK savings order.

Thank you Dgibs!  I had come to the conclusion that separate accounts were probably easiest to track. The flow chart is exactly what I needed to point me in the right direction, thank you. I will be discussing short and long term goals with DH asap.

As a side note, following a quick investigation into our actual pension funds this morning, I found an old work pension with over £18K just sitting there compounding away. Well done 18-year-old me!

that's interesting - thanks for the link.

Might be something to use for another account we are starting.

I can’t believe I only just found the UK (tax) board. How did I not know about it sooner despite joining in 2014?!

@Dgibs Love the flowchart you posted. The pensions segment seems most suited to a DC pension. Would it work the same for DB?

I’ve been thinking about this fund too, Life Strategy just seems to uk bias for my liking with Brexit round the corner

I have put some money into Blackrock's
ISHARES PACIFIC EX JAPAN EQUITY INDEX

https://www.hl.co.uk/funds/fund-discounts,-prices--and--factsheets/search-results/i/ishares-pacific-ex-japan-equity-index-h-accumulation

over 500 companies, diversifies just that little bit more, fees are only 0.13% with HL.
A bit riskier probably, but worth it for a small punt
