Hi,
As mentioned previously I though that I had hit my FI amount on my 55th birthday but I was concerned about Brexit so carried on working. Now I'm glad to be able to report that I finish work on 5th December 2019. We ran the numbers past a well known Financial Planner and he assured us that I could stop working immediately. So I have (apart form the 1 month notice)
It's a really weird and scary experience. I honestly have no idea how I am going to spend my time. I enjoy swimming ( 3-4 days a week for last 27 years) and would like to get back into cycling but have slightly lost my nerve. I like to think that I am too rock 'n' roll for golf. Looks like it will have to be daytime TV!!!!!!!! (and fab holidays/travelling)
I take absolutely no credit for being able to retire early as it was my wife's idea. We just followed what MMM says and read a few great books.

Just keep at it folks and you will reap the rewards.
