Feeling accomplished
« on: April 08, 2021, 02:54:55 PM »
Tonight I applied for a S&S LISA and set up a very small DD to start my first ever non-pension investing.

Also I applied to transfer one of my bigger pension pots from the pru at 1% into one of my smaller pots where the charge will now be 0.3%.

Such a novice, but making a difference for my future.

What was your most recent MMM achievement?

never give up

Well done TacheTastic. They are good accomplishments. My most recent achievements are:

1. Sorting out my ISA for the new tax year.
2. Sorting out my Pension AVC’s for the new tax year.
3. Chasing an ISA Transfer to save on fees.
4. Minimising the amount of creme eggs I bought over Easter saving £’s.

I'm about 5 years into my FI journey (since I started planning... been saving for longer).
I was just reviewing my annual returns and I'm currently 100k ahead of where I expected to be at this time!
This time last year, I was about 20k behind due to COVID tanking markets but the recovery has been incredible - that and I was able to save a lot of extra cash by WFH and not holidaying etc.

FI might be a year or so closer than I had hoped :)

Shouldn't this be top of the list? :D

PropJoe, sounds like good progress, congrats.
