I'm in, too! We had a spendy December (mostly expected but higher than usual), and I need to budget for contributions to our HSA (new this year).
We were traveling home on the 1st, so spent more than usual on food/gas but planning on a regular grocery trip on Monday with a meal plan that I hope can get us through the rest of the month (I'll get eggs and produce again later in the month). Otherwise we're going to use what we have in the freezer and pantry. I spent $15.60 on milk, eggs, bananas, clementines, bread (discount overflow from holiday!), yogurt, and baby carrots today. Smallest grocery trip I've done in ages!
I'm making a vegan lentil dish from budget bytes in the Crock-Pot tomorrow.
I do feel like I bent the rules because my dad offered to buy my oldest winter boots and get me a new shirt, so I took him up on it, but I'll use what we have and make him some cookies or something as a thank you.
Good luck to everyone!
