This is a challenge for all those aspiring writers that I've seen on this forum!
Goal: Write 20,000 words of first draft material
on your chosen project20,000 words equals about 645 words a day. This wordcount does NOT include editing, unless you are adding an entirely new scene. It only includes words written towards your chosen project, whatever it is (a novel, a blog, a journal, a collection of short stories, etc). If you choose your novel, and spend time doing a post on your blog, those words do not count towards your total. This is to keep you focused on your overall goal.
It is not as ambitious as Nanowrimo's 50,000 words, instead, it is an easier target to shoot for to get you off the couch and get words on the page.
