I am joining you all on this challenge.   Was eligible January of this year, but had alot of moving parts this year.

Liquid assets / Net worth

Jan 2018 $415.5K / $508K
Jun 2018  $518.8K / $578.4K

So I am early on in this race, just over the $500K mark this year.  Hoping the 2nd 500K goes much faster than the 1st.

Monthly check in, counting investment accounts only (not real estate, and not college savings accounts).

               Invested (+/-)
5/1/17 --    $631k
6/1/17 --    $647k (+$16k)
7/1/17 --    $655k (+$8k)
8/1/17 --    $665k (+$10k)
9/1/17 --    $672k (+$7k)
10/1/17 --  $684k (+$12k)
11/1/17 --  $702k (+$18k)
12/1/17 --  $724k (+$22k)
1/1/18  --   $731k (+$7k)
2/1/18  --   $761k (+$30k)
3/1/18  --   $737k (-$24k)
4/1/18 --    $731k (-$6k)
5/1/18 --    $738k (+$7k)
6/1/18 --    $747k (+$9k)
7/1/18 --    $744k (-$3k)

Pretty flat month.  We are gut-renovating a house, so our cash firehose is mostly pointed at that right now rather than investments.  Accounts are largely just drifting -- rising and falling with the markets.

                LNW      TNW
Jan 2018 -  846K  /  987K
Feb 2018 -  880K / 1.02M
Mar 2018 -  859K / 1.00M
Apr 2018 -  855K /   996K
May 2018 - 856K /   999K
Jun 2018  - 875K / 1.02M
Jul  2018  - 887K / 1.03M

S&P is only up 1.67% on the year, so maybe the second half will give us all a little bump to finish strong.  Then again, maybe we're all better off if it stays in the doldrums while we're still buyers...

New Account due to email issues, but same old JGS, with an update... second best quarter ever. Savings rate continues to FAR outpace any compounding in the investment accounts, which have been flat.

At $926K.

IF the markets stay flat, my income in the next month will put me into the double comma club.  Yes, I know that's a big IF.  :)

Well, so much for the markets staying flat.  :-/

But my NW is now up to $950K anyway, because of an extra income payout.  When $33K hits my tax-deferred accounts next week, I'll be even closer to the BIG milestone.  :)

Last two months were expensive and nonprofitable! We were in Asia for the vast majority of May, and in June we had a weekend trip along with a new contract/job switch for myself that included a little downtime (3 days).

Either way, it should resume normal progress starting next month!

Here's my progress thus far:

1/1/2015 - $319,018
3/31/2015 - $358,647
6/30/2015 - $350,887
9/30/2015 - $329,044
12/31/2015 - $340,246
3/31/2016 - $390,030
6/30/2016 - $408.983
9/1/2016 - $447,834
12/31/2016 - $459,043
3/31/2017 - $509,618
6/30/2017 - $520,691
9/30/17 - $553,269
12/31/17 - $557,941
3/31/18 - $583,773
6/30/18 - $590,057

With the market slowing gains were only $4K over the 90 days.  Lots of unexpected expenses as things broke around the house and had to be handled which did not help with accumulating any extra savings.  General expected for costs were also higher than normal so having a positive uptick is still promising.  Will likely take a hit over the remainder of the year as we contemplate a business opportunity and/or my wife returns to college to get a Masters.  Unless something really unexpected happens should stay above $500K, but might be a slow slog for the next couple of years.

Our net worth is essentially flat this month - which isn't bad, considering I took $6k out of the brokerage account last week.  My husband is going to buy a car...and then he'll finish fixing his current car and sell it for about $5k, so I will be repaying us in another month or so.

I expect our savings to jump a lot for the rest of the year - my husband graduated from college in May and starts a new full-time job next week (with a 403b AND a 457 plan!!!)  and yesterday I transitioned from being a contract employee to being permanent.  I got a little raise plus I will now be paid for holidays, vacations, and sick leave, which will be a big raise.

9/30/2017   $585K
7/31/2017   $567K

Haven't updated here in a while.

12/31/2017  $627K
03/31/2018  $641K
06/30/2018  $667K

Pretty much all of the gains since the end of 2017 are our contributions, since the market hasn't done much.

6/18 Update - $799K; $231K in home equity, $11K in cash, remainder in investments. Up ~$170K from when I first started tracking in earnest a year ago (I know, I know). So grateful for the inspiration from MMM and this community!

3/2018 Update - $756K; $222K in home equity, $5K in cash, remainder in investments. It's refreshing to see we're actually up in total over last quarter, although about half of it is home appreciation, which I consider total funny money as we have no plans to sell any time soon.

12/2017 Update - We hit a big milestone this quarter - over $500K in investments!
Current totals - $719K; $194K in home equity, $5K in cash, remainder in investments

9/2017 Update - $670K; $187K in home equity, $10K in cash, remainder in investments

Somewhat embarrassingly, I didn't starting keeping close tabs on my net worth until finding MMM this year. Thankfully, I didn't muck it up too bad up to this point, but I'm hoping to do even better now that I know better! So, let's start here...

6/2017 - $630K; ~$180K in home equity, ~$10K in cash, remainder in investments

End of 2007: $71,000
End of 2008: $87,600
End of 2009: $202,000
End of 2010: $257,000
2011: $298,000
2012: $364,000
2013: $371,000
2014: $615,000 (This looks like a big jump from 2013 because I started counting in my calculations an investment account which hadn't been counted in prior years)
2015: $644,000
2016: $740,000
July 2017: $813,000
Jan 2018: $926,000

Now at $969,000 mid-year 2018. I flirted with $1M a few times this past quarter but the current drawback put the total off this mark.

$703k invested as of today, up from ~$550k 15 months ago.  On track to have invested $60k by the end of the year.  Just need it to double (plus inflation) and I'll be at my number.  7 more years..
795k invested, 980k total NW.  Hitting 1M total NW is so close.  Still 6.5 years before I can pull the trigger.

My wife looks like she is picking up a decent 3/4 time work from home job (email out of the blue from her boss from 12 years ago), well timed with the kid starting Kindergarten this fall.  We might be able to shave a couple years off if it pans out.

Dec. 2017: $502k
Jan. 2, 2018: $513.7k
Feb. 5, 2018: $539.9k
Mar. 5, 2018: $543.6k
Apr. 2, 2018: $557.6
Apr. 30, 2018: $574.5k
June 4, 2018: $616.2k
July 2, 2018: $623.4k

I track the numbers in a spreadsheet but just forgot to post them last week! Whoops. Still making the steady climb this month. I always love summers in Michigan because I can really get my electricity bill low - who even needs air conditioning when we have nice cool basements :)

As of YESTERDAY, I have graduated into this thread!

July 2018: $522k

I've been hovering around 498-502 for a few weeks now depending on what's going on in the market from day-to-day, but yesterday I received a $20k midyear bonus along with my regular paycheck, so I think I am now comfortably established in the half million+ zone, hopefully for good!

It took me 7 years to get from zero to 500K, so I'm thinking 5 years to get from 500K to 1 million. 2023?

Welcome @clarkfan1979!  At the rate you are going it will take less than that. And if we get any kind of market uptick, that'll shave even more time off.  Well done.

It is 70 % equities / 30 % fixed income.
This is counting some company stock which has a fixed price and pays 5% dividends as fixed income

I'm doing a version of this, in that I'm attempting to clear all those dumb little debts that are out there. It's not optimal to pay these off, but I figure with a $1 mm net worth I can afford to be sub-optimal.
