Up $8,430.68 to $242,448.77.

Took advantage of some overtime, and my 403b match for last year finally dropped in. Good month!

Very good month @SpareChange !

Despite the rocky market this month, we've crossed the $250k threshold

Congratulations @aneel !!!!!

Joining in on the fun.

Welcome @Milkm4n !

Decided to start tracking quarterly this year so not sure when I crossed the 250k mark.  On to the next thread (fingers crossed that a market pullback doesn't bring me back!)

Congrats @nick663 ! See you in the next thread!

I see a good few people are getting close to graduating also :-)

I had a pretty good month due to a 401k elective contribution for my employer, and a nice bonus ahead of my 2.5-week vacation in Japan (life is sooo hard).

+$5,941.79 (2.65%) to $230,215.59

Ever since I graduated into this group, it's been a ruthless struggle to maintain 6-figure NW.  I am just trying to keep investing at the rate the market drops for now haha!

I'm jumping on this bandwagon in the middle of the course. Counting only retirement investments and cash on hand, we are currently clocking in at $164,937. My goal is to pass $200k by the end of calendar year, then graduate from thread by end of 2019.

Well - the stock market had me teetering with 250k all week. My paycheck cleared yesterday and I comfortably passed it! As silly as it sounds, this group (an anonymous group of strangers) really helped to set that goal.

Side note - last night my wife asked me “why I’ve been looking at my personal capital on my phone so much lately?” So I told her about this group, and she’s like, “oh, do you have to like show proof to get accepted into the 250k-500k group?” Lol. I told her that it’s just an honesty thing and I wasn’t going to cut corners now when I worked hard to get here.

Lol, congrats! I think I'll be joining you over there next month. This anonymous peer pressure from a random thread on an interweb forum stuff really seems to work haha.

Investments and liquid assets, not including condo equity:

April 15, 2017 -           164,900
May 1, 2017 -             ? (Lost info)
June 1, 2017 -            ? (Lost info)
July 1, 2017 -             180,808
August 10, 2017 -       189,280
September 1, 2017 -   193,727
October 1, 2017 -        209,968
November 1, 2017 -     220,602
December 1, 2017 -     225,918
January 1, 2018 -        232,213
February 1, 2018 -       245,447
March 1, 2018 -           242,789
April 1, 2018 -             246,140
April 28, 2018 -           319,055

I couldn't wait to put this up any longer, I sold my condo!  There are still quite a few more checks in the mail for me on this one (HOA refund, escrow refund, etc), and I am waiting on my tax return and back pay too, so my numbers will jump some more in the following months, but I think I crushed my way through this one.  I will see you all in the next thread!

I've been following MMM for the past four years but I'm brand new to this forum.  This place is great so I thought I'd get off the sidelines and jump on in!  Getting to 100k seemed to take forever, so I'm pumped to share some numbers and join the race!

5/1/17     25,273
6/1/17     52,894  (I believe we transferred some money over)
7/1/17     59,114
8/1/17     67,337
9/1/17     75,486
10/1/17   80,726
11/1/17   85,681
12/1/17  100,005  (extra paycheck month for us both!)
1/1/18    105,431
2/1/18    108,535
3/1/18    111,337
4/1/18    117,617

03/01/18: $100,871
04/01/18: $104,410
05/01/18: $109,333

Another solid month. Our first baby arrives this month, so expect our NW increases to be slightly reduced over the next few months.

I was surprised by how little our newborn had an effect on net worth increases. The major expense, the one that gets people, hasn’t hit us though. Day care is outrageously expensive $1600-$2200/month depending on where and the hours they provide.

Joining this thread after graduating 10-100k race :)

Little background, started tracking November 2016 and first month was only 2k...took almost 18 months to graduate, hoping it doesn't take me and my wife so long on this race...

Jan 1, 2018 - $201,283.30
Feb 1, 2018 - $215,187.87 (Wife got big match in 401k) and market huge month.
Mar 1, 2018 - $211,493.56 (Darn market slump and making extra payments on car loan)
Apr 1, 2018 - $212,262.61 (I'll take an increase with the way the market acted last month. ALSO, paid off our last car loan!)
May 1, 2018 - $208,917.42

This month was a big drop.... Found out my wife had a credit card in her own name she had been hiding and she had maxxed it out at $4k. Needless to say there were some stressful times this month, but we have our new debt plan figured out and this will never happen again. (I had her create a free Experian credit monitoring account that I have access to, so she won't be able to charge anything or open any accounts without me knowing about it.) I know this might sound extreme, but this is the second time this has happened. About 10 years ago, it happened, but MUCH worse. This time though, we actually sat down together and I taught her how making minimum payments and charging things kills any kind of future we have. I think she gets it now. I explained to her that there will not be a next time....

6/30/2017:   $114,809.37   (+$5,822.84) Husband started working making 75k
7/31/2017:   $118,822.63   (+$4,013.26)
8/31/2017:   $127,150.06   (+$8,327.43)

10/31/2017: $131,182.62   (-$6,189.29)
11/30/2017: $160,216.75   (+$29,034.13) We bought a house!

3/31/2018:   $184,548.87   (-$249.26)
4/30/2018:   $188,623.33   (+4,074.46)

Back on track. Seems a little high considering my investments haven't really bounced back. Turns out husband has not sent the mortgage check the month. Next month both will hit at once which might be a doozy. However, the ongoing saga of the missing bonus checks continues. The office manager is swearing that she has been paying it out. Husband showed her his bank account where nothings come in. We are waiting to see what happens next.

Hey @tarheeldan, is there any way to add an annual % change to The Big Board in the chart?  Seems like it could be easy and would be more gratifying that just a month over month change?  Just a thought...

Goal of $200,000 by June of 2018.

Jan 1/16 - $105,809.20
Feb 1/16 - $102,834.20
Mar 1/16 - $105,602.70

Jul 1/16 - $117,155.44
Aug 1/16 - $121,029.58
Sept 1/16 - $115,764.20

Mar 1/17 - $131,614.25
Apr 1/17 - $138,777.41
May 1/17 - $143,059.30
Jun 1/17 (Goal of $150,000) - $145,507.49
Jul 1/17 - $144,570.34
Aug 1/17 - $144,686.48

Feb 1/18 - $165,721.03
Mar 1/18 - $173,486.45
Apr 1/18 - $174,725.03
May 1/18 - $180,806.91 - More great gains.

Unless the market gives me over $16,000 in gains this month, no way am I hitting my goal.  After this month my wife stops getting maternity leave payments and isn't going back to work until July, and only part time at that, so increases are going to slow down dramatically; our savings rate will be about half what it is now.  I've calculated that it will add about 1 year to FI (currently about 6 years out) and about 5 years to RE (currently about 10 years out).  Worth it for her to be home with the kids while they are young.  We still have about 18 years on the mortgage and the plan has always been to work until that is paid off.

I changed jobs and moved and crypto gains reversed. So it looks bad the last few months, but overall it was actually good! Put a lot of money into my Roth IRA through Mega Backdoor and only have limited exposure to crypto on purpose (<10% of net worth). I now have an HSA at the new job so that will help as well. Moving expenses were steep, so I'm looking forward to May and June to be saving heavy months except for buying flights this year.
