April 2019: €10094.35
May 2019: €11629.87
June 2019: €12728.63
July 2019: €13021,33
August 2019: €10363,95

Goals for 2019:
Savings: €5000
Investments: €10000

Not a good month for the net worth, with a big invoice for a renovation project due + tuition and books for next semester and a lower income because of unpaid leave + no income from my side hustle during summer holiday, but I have been pretty frugal otherwise this month - 40% savings rate while I only earned €1350.

I have depleted my emergency fund so building that back up is my main goal as my job has become very insecure. I don't expect it to end before the end of the year but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends next year. There is possibly an option to switch to a different location but I wouldn't want to do that, it's too far from home and if I don't accept that option I will not qualify for unemployment benefits (as I'd be unemployed by choice). I'm sure I'd find work soon enough and my side hustle is going well, so I'm not too worried as long as I've got about 5k (or 6 months of expenses) in my savings account.

I do not include my savings to buy expensive "fun items" like new cellphone, electronics etc. as it is not very big. My checking account is also not included as it has money I will likely spend this month. Goal for 2019 is to make it to $45K.

Net worth:
Dec2017:$7800
Apr2018:$13,200
Aug2018:$22,800
Sep2018: $23,645
Oct2018: $23,658
Nov2018: $23,948 (+$290)
Dec2018: $23,960 (+12)
Jan2019: $27,100 (+3140)
Feb2019: $29,443 (+2343)
Mar2019: $31,603 (+2160)
Apr2019: $33,959 (+2356)
May2019: $33,933 (-$26)
Jun2019: $37,928 (+3995)
Jul2019: $39,736 (+1808)
Aug2019: $39,918 (+182) -Its a little sad to know that I added almost $1300 to my retirement investments, and they only went up $182. I hope the bounce back will be epic!

New graduate from the race to 50k thread joining in, already used that to track net worth, so no adjustments needed.

I'm a 26 year old guy, living together with my GF in one of the bigger Dutch cities. We are lucky enough to both make decent money for our age and Dutch standards, but rent is rather high. A big part of the numbers above is my half of the down payment we're saving up. GF is very frugal, and I've only just cathced up with her money wise: joint NW is slightly over 100K now! We keep finances separated, so I'll be tracking for myself only.

First six months of 2019 were very fortunate for me: vacation pay, extra monthly pay as a bonus and two holidays that were less expensive than expected. Now it's just hoping I can continue the streak. Next goal: 60k on the 5th of december ("Sinterklaas").

Best of luck to everyone posting and reading here, happy stashing!

25-6-2018            € 29.879,12 ------> Started Tracking
25-7-2018            € 30.749,12
25-8-2018            € 31.993,17
25-9-2018            € 33.185,00 ------> Found MMM
25-10-2018          € 34.433,66
25-11-2018          € 35.556,00
25-12-2018          € 41.939,62
25-1-2019            € 42.082,47
25-2-2019            € 44.338,00
25-3-2019            € 46.218,65
25-4-2019            € 47.829,00
03-6-2019            € 49.478,00
05-7-2019            € 52.722,00
25-7-2019            € 54.736,00
31-8-2019            € 56.431,00

To be honest, the market downfall since last periode was a bit dissapointing, here's hoping to a bigger sale on stocks asap! The month itself was financially dull, standard pay, no big expenses. Sort-off related: my goal to accumulate 50k in hard cash (home deposit, buyer's costs, etc.) is going to be met soon, meaning that come November, I'll be able to increase monthly investments with 70%! And then I'm truly off into the boring middle...

Thanks to all the welcoming messages my first post in here received, happy stashing and best of luck to you all for the next month- we'll get there!

It's not a loss, so I'll take it.  Retirement accounts were more or less flat once you take into account the contributions.  The biggest change was actually in my bank accounts and that's almost fully explained by my paying a couple of larger annual expenses in August.

I was nervous about the market drop this month but contributions were greater than the drop fortunately enough for me(wife got paid 3x). Other than that I put about an extra 800.00 toward my debt this month. Working on being debt free here in 2 years.

Hello everyone! It is my first time posting in this thread, I just made by way over from the race to $10k thread which I just surpassed.

Here is a basic breakdown of the numbers as of the end of the day today:

Total Cash/Cash Equivalents: $31,642
Total Liabilities: $20,131

Net Worth: $11,511

Virtually all of my liabilities are student loans. I also have some minor balances on my credit cards, which I pay off monthly. I've been aggressively attacking the student loans (see my participation in the student loan challenge if curious) and have made steady progress.

As for asset composition,  20% are in checking accounts, 13% is in my HSA and 67% is in my 401k.

9/29/17 - $11,511 (First post in thread)
6/30/18 - $36,000
7/31/18 - $38,676
8/31/18 - $40,277
9/30/18 - $50,572
10/31/18 - $46,085
11/30/18 - $48,956
12/31/18 - $46,003
1/31/19 - $53,028
2/28/19 - $58,276
3/31/2019 - $67,340
4/30/2019 - $70,674
5/31/2019 - $69,853
6/30/2019 - $75,757
7/31/2019 - $78,206
8/31/2019 - $83,589

August Notes

The rare two paycheck month is the main reason I am up at all this month. Market bloodbath plus some hefty medical bills caused the net worth to tread water, but my paycheck came early due to the holiday. Though as a result September will be likely trend negative, unless the market gains a bit.

2019
01/2019:  49,400
02/2019:  52,900
03/2019:  55,500
05/2019:  59,500
05/2019:  61,100
06/2019:  71,200
07/2019:  75,000
08/2019:  75,300
09/2019:  79,200

We had a 5-paycheck month, plus my husband is now getting his employer 401k match for a nice savings boost.

Met with our mortgage broker last week and were able to secure a 3.375% refinance (decreased from 4.625!) that will decrease our payment ~150/month. We'll lose a little chunk of savings in loan fees when we close later this month, but I'm planning to funnel all of that extra monthly $$ into investments and will break even in less than 3 years.

Moral of the story: If you have a mortgage, check to see if it's worth it to refinance because rates are really low right now!

June 2019 - $27,758

Bah!  So close!  My 401K was lower this month than last month.  Fingers crossed I'll hit $30K next month, I suppose.

I am not sure if I am in this topic or not since I just started tracking and last time I was at net worth 4k and now it is much higher. So I will post in this one and the race to 10k one just in case for next month.

06/04/19: $63,056.67
07/30/19: $65,345.01

Missed a month since I was on a 30 day roadtrip. Numbers look good since quarter taxes and un-invested IRA monies are part of it. Vacations are behind so I need to start catching up with a few financial loose ends.

09/03/19: $64,034.31

Quarterly taxes were paid. To much money was wasted last month on food, going out, alcohol, etc

Sold our rental house which led to the big jump this month. We're now maxing 401k's and will start contributing to our Roth IRAs again soon. We should then be increasing our NW by around $4500/mo. My new goal is to hit $100k by April 2021!

Back up! I made a plan to save at least 10k before 2020, hope I can stick to it! Rebalanced my investments to be full ethical, I don't contribute to terrible companies anymore yay!

How did you go about doing this if you don't mind me asking? I am very interested.

Same here. I have some 'sustainable' ETFs but I am always interested to hear about new/different ones that I don't know about yet.

Hello Hirondelle and Haypug, sorry I only come here twice a month :)
I trade on the ASX in Australia. I buy a mix of VESG for international stock and FAIR for domestic / Australian exposure which is focused on sustainability leaders and not just negative screening. I have divested from VDHG as it included too much mining through VAS the basic ASX 200 Australian index, including thermal coal which is no no no for me.
I also  have a Raiz account which is a micro investment app from my investing start. I am on the socially responsible portfolio which is a mix of RARI and ETHI for the stocks, then some bonds. Happy to chat more in PM so we don't derail the racing thread ;)

A little late to post, these numbers are for 9/1:

January 2019    $ 34,820.54
February 2019    $ 40,959.03
March 2019    $ 48,963.23
April 2019        $ 49,324.37

July 2019            $ 68,173.37

Bad market and a vacation made this month a little slower. But we've bounced back nicely with the market.

So my recent figures are:

22/07/2019 - £22,744.50
22/08/2019 - £23,289.96
22/09/2019 - £24,756.80

It's an increase of £1,466.84 which is a bit higher than recent months.

I've increased my N/W by around £16,700 in the last year and I started tracking in September 2017 with a N/W around -£1,400.

All going pretty well.  Just feel like I'll be in this thread for years, which is kind of demoralising, I know Rome wasn't built in a day though.  Just got to think of other ways to speed up my progress.

Welcome @paramorgan9 !  Great progress this year.  How did you manage such a big jump?

Thank you! I started my first full-time job at the beginning of 2018 after graduating from college, so I've tried to take full advantage of my 401k, HSA, and ESPP since then. I've also been working on setting goals for myself throughout the year and tracking everything to ensure that I am on track to hit them!

Oh. Wow! I made a mistake. Over all the bonuses I received and stocks coming back, I forgot about the security deposit from the apartment.
So I have to correct the last two months up by 1,875€.

Current net worth as of September 26th, 2019:

14,217€!

Total debt is now below 7k, investments and cash is at 17,500€.

I am stunned :-D

I do not include my savings to buy expensive "fun items" like new cellphone, electronics etc. as it is not very big. My checking account is also not included as it has money I will likely spend this month. Goal for 2019 is to make it to $45K.

Net worth:
Dec2017:$7800
Apr2018:$13,200
Aug2018:$22,800
Sep2018: $23,645
Oct2018: $23,658
Nov2018: $23,948 (+$290)
Dec2018: $23,960 (+12)
Jan2019: $27,100 (+3140)
Feb2019: $29,443 (+2343)
Mar2019: $31,603 (+2160)
Apr2019: $33,959 (+2356)
May2019: $33,933 (-$26)
Jun2019: $37,928 (+3995)
Jul2019: $39,736 (+1808)
Aug2019: $39,918 (+182)
Sep2019: $34,179 (-5739)- The market bounce back was great, but I was getting a little to0 close to my 45K goal, so I went and bought a vehicle. (net worth of just investments-no loan would be at 43100). I am lowering my investments for next month to help cash flow some personal bills, so the markets going to need to go up up and away for me to meet my 45K EOY goal.
