My update is as follows:

1/1/2016   $70,395.59
2/1/2016   $74,587.69
3/1/2016   $77,683.18
4/1/2016   $81,670.69
5/1/2016 $85,587.91
6/1/2016   $88,367.43
7/1/2016 $93,318.49

8/1/2016 $98,467.26  - If things go - normal - I should finally break the $100k barrier in two weeks! Looks like there is a few of us about to move on from this thread but i better reserve my milestones until I actually get there, things could still change.

Well it's been a peach y'all but I'm moving on up! $103,038. Hope to see you in the next group shortly, unless the markets take a nose dive and I'm back here again.

4th January 2016 : 55k.
29th March 2016: 58k.
28th June 2016: 77k.

It's not bad considering the markets haven't been that good. I'm hopefully in the next 3 months that we get past 100k.

Just hit $102k today. I'm moving onto the $250k thread.

Hello everyone - long-time spreadsheet lurker here :)

It looks like the spreadsheet got messed up on August 5th.  I think someone added a row to the very top, and that messed everything up?  I deleted the top row, and I *think* that fixed it, but if not, we may have to revert to the August 2nd version.  Check your data?

________

I made it! 36 months since I first crossed $10k in August of 2013. I graduated school in June 2012 and had a full year without much progress. I believe I started reading MMM sometime that year and really began making changes when I switched to a higher paying job in Sept 2013.

I had a few backslides from tax issues and moving to switch jobs twice, leading to paycheck gaps and moving expenses. But both times increased my salary substantially. I am actually planning another strategic move soon to lower my COL in a new area.

What I did well the last three years: increasing my TSP with every raise, maxing an HSA, maxing my Roth IRA, picking up a side job that sometimes pays better hourly than my day job, automatic savings allocations for a house down payment. My paycheck after deductions and savings allocations is less money than I was regularly spending in 2012, when my salary was 50% of what it is now :)

Hope to see the rest of you soon in the race to $250k thread!!

Hey folks, long time lurker here. I haven't been very vocal on here, but I've been cheering you all on!

I was expecting to hit the 6 figure net worth later this year, but was surprised to pass it this month! Keep it up for those of you still working on it, and see you over at the 250k thread. :D

5/1/2016: $14,504
6/31/2016: $18,193
7/30/2016: $19,296

Soooo close to $20K! Almost certainly going to hit $25K by end of year, markets willing.
I JUST CROSSED $20K!!

8/30/2016: $21,334

There will probably be a dip this month, though, as I'm taking a month off between jobs, so the markets would have to go gangbusters to make up for the $1,100 in expenses without income.

September will be an expensive month: Paying taxes, holiday for 2 weeks in asia, paying mortgage for Okt to Dec.
Unless the market goes up, will be impossible to finish this race in September....

Bounced back well enough, this month should be good to me, but October might be a bit more tumultuous.  Moving again.

Actually at your rate of about $1,000 a month assuming 7% real rate of return and with a FIRE goal of $600,000 starting with $24,285 would only take 20.3 years to reach FIRE! Yah for compound interest!

Very true, I must trust in the higher power (of compound interest). Thanks :)

End of June Update:
Cash/Savings: $6,614
Mutual Funds (non-retirement, house savings): $10,568
Work Retirement Accounts: $39,193
NW: $56,375 (increase of $643)

Back in after over a year of not checking in!
Cash/Savings: $8,160
Mutual Funds (non-retirement, house savings): $10,956
Work Retirement Accounts:$57,777

NW: $76,893 (increase of $20,518 - average $1,578 per month since last check-in).

I have moved in with my girlfriend and our monthly expenses have dropped, I have also gotten a bit of a raise at work so I am gaining ground at a faster rate now.  I have spent some money on goodies though and I need to make sure I don't turn up the speed on the treadmill if I can avoid it.

At this rate I hope to break 100k in another year if I tighten up some loose ends.

This might help my motivation :-)

I am currently at ~ 10.000 € on daily benefit (?) account
plus 5.000 € belonging to my sister and me together just stored in my other account.

I have around 8.000-10.000 € student debt I am only allowed to pay back in 3 years.

I just opened my first depot account and I am waiting for the final documents to arrive so that I can start with indices etc.

Wow, it's been some time...
So first of all I became debt free last year (10.000€)!
Meaning I started at +2.500€ 06/2014.

And currently my networth is...
43.882,85 € @09/2016

I had not looked at this before. Amazing. This forum really motivates :)

Due to making less than 50k I'll probably be way behind some of y'all but...

2 years into the 'real' workforce, networth 40k:

Work pension contribution: 10k
Savings account (earmarked for house downpayment, goal is 50k): 30k

If anyone has ideas about places to put house downpayment money that I plan to use within 1-2 years, I'm all ears!  Earned a whopping 25 cents last month in interest in savings and it made me so sad...

Ally bank has 1% for a savings account. $25 > $0.25.

October 2015: $4,100

October 2016: $25,350

This time last year I had just restarted my slow upward climb after a summer without a paycheck. This year I've had a steady summer income and one full month on the new and improved paycheck.

It was negative all of my life until two or three years ago (at one point negative $200k or so).  I never tracked it because it was too depressing.

$27,512.11 November 2014
$32,550.93 January 2015
$37,692.25 April  2015
$41,623.39 June 2015
$35,929.89 July 2015 (Ouch!!!)
$45,275.83 October 2015

$54,907 November 30, 2105

17.5% increase?  Somebody check my math.

Groan.

October 2016, almost a year later, a $763 increase to $55,671.

Damn.  I stopped tracking it until this month, because I knew things weren't going well, so I stuck my head in the sand.

Positive is ALWAYS better than negative when it comes to NW calculations, so at least you didn't fall too far!  New day, hop back on the wagon.  ;)

Yea but you already have historical data showing that you know how to get 20k+ in a year without issue.  No big deal, just get to pick back up where you left off with a little bonus!

New to this thread! Found MMM in Jan 2016 and began tracking on MINT shortly thereafter.

Jan 2016: 19,799
Feb 2016: 18,990
Mar 2016: 21,803
April 2016: 34,510
May 2016: 37,172
June 2016: 40,277
July 2016: 47,027
August 2016: 47,772
September 2016: 51,071
October 2016: 53,397

If I can increase NW by 35k a year, I'll hit 100k by early 2018!

3/1/2016: $10,106
4/1/2016: $10,624
5/1/2016: $14,504
6/31/2016: $18,193
7/30/2016: $19,296
8/30/2016: $21,334
10/23/2016: $18,326

Unfortunately, there's a very large dip 2 months later because I have decided to start my own business and gave the business an $800 loan (not tracked in my personal NW for now) and have been eating into savings a bit with just my personal expenses - which are averaging $1250 month with my health insurance. But I have a part-time W2 job that will keep that flat next couple months I hope while the business gains income.

I'll be treading water for a few months - probably not losing much, but not gaining much either - as I get going.

3/8: $20,818
3/29: $23,784
4/21: $26,650
5/20: $28,769
...
8/1: $34,808
9/1: $37,342
9/29: $39,883
10/31: $41,720

Reasonable contribution offset by declining market lead to smaller than expected increase.  My year end target is now $47k, but who knows with the market and the election.

Here goes.

Oct 31st, 2016 - $17,457.17

Haven't done any thorough calculations, but back of the envelope says it should be a little over a year.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
