This includes all our retirement and personal accounts for assets. It includes our credit cards, student loan, and mortgage for liabilities. It DOES NOT include our home value.

April 2018 - $52,917.42
May 2018  - $58,400.19
June 2018 - $59,686.34
July 2018  - $65,798.53
Aug 2018 - $72,231.70
Sept 2018 - $76,755.71
Oct 2018 -  $64,348.89
Nov 2018 - $70,839.76
Dec 2018 - $58,351.73
Jan 2019 - $78,256.31
Feb 2019 - $87,795.97
Mar 2019 - $67,121.29
Apr 2019 - $75,155.85
May 2019 - $63,243.68
June 2019 - $79,359.89

Big bounce-back month in the market. Also, negotiated a 25% reduction in a medical bill. Also got a nice bonus from my summer employment. Wife has a 3 paycheck month in July. It'll be a nice month!

1/10/18: 43,071
1/11/18: 46,223 (+3152)
1/12/18: 50,605 (+4382)
1/01/19: 57,786 (+7181)
1/02/19: 65,133 (+7347)
1/03/19: 71,695 (+6562)
1/04/19: 77,573 (+5878)
1/05/19: 86,088 (+8515)
1/06/19: 86,749 (+0661)
1/07/19: 95,468 (+8719)

Big rebound by the markets plus some good old savings despite a spendy month. 100k is getting real! I have a big cross country move coming up in August so I'll effectively have a full month without income but should still be able to hit 100k by years end.

I do not include my savings to buy expensive "fun items" like new cellphone, electronics etc. as it is not very big. My checking account is also not included as it has money I will likely spend this month. Goal for 2019 is to make it to $45K.

Net worth:
Dec2017:$7800
Apr2018:$13,200
Aug2018:$22,800
Sep2018: $23,645
Oct2018: $23,658
Nov2018: $23,948 (+$290)
Dec2018: $23,960 (+12)
Jan2019: $27,100 (+3140)
Feb2019: $29,443 (+2343)
Mar2019: $31,603 (+2160)
Apr2019: $33,959 (+2356)
May2019 $33,933 (-$26)
Jun2019: $37928.82 (+3995)- Those stocks on sale are finally paying off! Good job everyone who has graduated or joined!

Reporting a little early

September 1 2018 -  $ 10,182.02

October 1 2018 -  $ 14,632.57

November 1 2018 -  $ 16,671.27

December 1 2018 -  $ 23,468.48

January 1 2019 -  $ 30,900.13

February 1 2019 -  $ 34,820.54

March 1 2019 -  $ 40,959.03

April 1 2019 -  $ 48,963.23

May 1 2019 -  $ 49,324.37  (giant tax bill)

June 1 2019 -  $ 54,756.42

July 1 2019 -  $ 62,550.77

This is my partner's and my combined net worth. He is currently at 5k and I am at 57k. He's just wrapping up the debt repayment phase and I have been saving aggressively for some time. In addition to maxing retirement accounts, I have also been setting aside cash for a house downpayment. This means we're a little cash-heavy.

I went on a 3 week trip to SE-Asia so I had no clue about financials. Turns out I earned money while traveling around! My salary was also a mysterious €70 higher than normal. No clue why but would be nice if it's a lasting change!

Dec 2017 €14.300
June 2018 €23.300 (+9k over 6 months)
Dec 2018 €35.600 (+13.3k over 6 months)
Jan 2019 €39.000 (+3.400)
Feb 2019 €40.700 (+1.700)
Mar 2019 €42.400 (+1.700)
Apr 2019 €44.900 (+2.500)

I had a HUGE spending month this month, with over $300 in outstanding reimbursements and almost $500 in pre-paying insurance toward a cc spend target. I had only a 20% savings rate, but the market did the rest. Also, this marks my NW surpassing a full year's income.

April 2019: €10094.35
May 2019:  €11629.87
June 2019: €12728.63

Goals for 2019:
Savings: €5000
Investments: €10000

We're doing some DIY that's going to cost quite a bit of money, but we haven't made as much progress as we'd liked to. Which means we also haven't spent that much money yet and I'm still moving in the right direction.

Hello everyone! It is my first time posting in this thread, I just made by way over from the race to $10k thread which I just surpassed.

Here is a basic breakdown of the numbers as of the end of the day today:

Total Cash/Cash Equivalents: $31,642
Total Liabilities: $20,131

Net Worth: $11,511

Virtually all of my liabilities are student loans. I also have some minor balances on my credit cards, which I pay off monthly. I've been aggressively attacking the student loans (see my participation in the student loan challenge if curious) and have made steady progress.

As for asset composition,  20% are in checking accounts, 13% is in my HSA and 67% is in my 401k.

9/29/17 - $11,511 (First post in thread)
6/30/18 - $36,000
7/31/18 - $38,676
8/31/18 - $40,277
9/30/18 - $50,572
10/31/18 - $46,085
11/30/18 - $48,956
12/31/18 - $46,003
1/31/19 - $53,028
2/28/19 - $58,276
3/31/2019 - $67,340
4/30/2019 - $70,674
5/31/2019 - $69,853
6/30/2019 - $75,757

Wedding: done! Honeymoon: done! Both were lovely.

At the same time, I'm glad things are going to be calmer now--the past year has been a LOT and I'm ready to have time without a Giant Thing on the immediate horizon. And to definitively get over $100k!

Just keep plugging along. I was fortunate enough to get pay an extra $600 toward my debt this month. Student Loans are going down fairly fast. At least for me. They should all be gone here in the next few years at this rate!

The more I read these forums the more I realize how much the sl's can hold people back. I'm fortunate that I grew up in a country where higher education is really affordable but now.i live here so I can take advantage of higher wages without the corresponding debt burden.

October 2018 - $19,301
November 2018 - $20,523

Wow, the market has been a friend this month. Despite some ridiculous spendypants behavior (new dishwasher, new bike, new hair) we still netted positive.

My husband starts getting his 401k match this month so our savings will speed up a bit. Dare I predict a graduation by the end of the year?

Finally a nice jump ahead. I was overestimating liabilities as my partner 'owed ' money to our shared investments she was late to chuck in.

Will need to stay serious as I have holidays coming up.

Fingers crossed for graduation at the end of August!  It can’t not happen (due to my automated savings) unless the markets go down again, so we shall see!  I’ve held a consistent 37.5% savings rate these past few months, I’d like to get that number higher.  Time to get creative..

7/3/19: $67,032.16

Not quite sure where this big jump came from this month, but I'll take it. It'll even out next month though as we have to spend a couple grand to pay for the repairs we had done to our rental house to get it ready to sell.

June 2019 Update
3/31/2017 (52,848.85) - Found MMM
3/31/2018 $(14,916.69) - 1 year in
3/31/2019 $9,917.20 - 2 years in
4/30/2019 $19,835.78
5/31/2019 $21,498.65
6/30/2019 $17,825.45 -3,673.20 decrease

Looking forward to returning to work this month so I can turn this number back around. I am grateful that I had this time home with the little one and was able to live off the small STD payout (5 weeks) and some of the bonus I got right before heading out on Maternity Leave. I was able to keep all my bills paid and not rack up any credit card debt in the process. I'll also have a chance to get caught up on the forums (I hope)

Always a small jump with the first paycheck, second paycheck of the month will kick me up a bigger notch since rent just came out of this one. Steady upward progress, should hit 60k this month. Got a weird bonus at work, as did everyone else. No complaints though. Up almost $40k from this time last year so I’m happy so far.

I'm in!

April 19 $37,975
May 19  $43,823
June 19 $50,556
July 19  $81,732

I didn't start tracking until this year, even though I found MMM about two years ago. (The big jump between June and July was realizing one of my accounts wasn't linked properly and wasn't reporting to my bottom line.)

Considering I was underwater on a house and making car payments three years ago, I'm doing very well! Zero debt, and worth about 1.5x my annual income. I'm still behind by some metrics, but I'm looking forward to how much I can save in future instead of back at past mistakes.

7/19: $96,745.04 (+6,329.74)

Reporting early since I'm about to go out of town. Getting very close, though my net worth keeps vacillating with the market. I'm not convinced I'll stay above the threshold once I reach it...

Got back from my trip, and opened Personal Capital to see a net worth of $100,555.32. Wow.

The number isn't really real because I owe my wife for my half of July rent and our vacation expenses, but I still wanted to mark the moment. We'll see if I can get it back up again by 8/1.

Just graduated from the 50k thread, figured I'd join this one. My savings journey after graduating from university started at about 10k, so this thread is appropriate. Here's my recorded history:

January 2018: $18,944.35
February 2018: $22,047.46
March 2018: $23,463.61
April 2018: $24,224.19
May 2018: $26,173
Jun 2018: $29,519.62

October 2018: $29,676.50
November 2018: $32,923.90
December 2018: $34,394.85
January 2019: $39,825.43
February 2019" $43,508.66
April 2019: $48,394.91
July 2019: $65,536.55 (+$17,141.64)

The reason fro the big jump during the last three months is because as a teacher, a portion of my paycheque is withheld each month. This was all paid out to me at the beginning of July. Essentially I got three paycheques at once (June, July, and August). But this also means I won't be getting my next paycheque until the end of September. It was a tough year, so I do plan on using some of this money to vacation, but I don't expect to fall below $58,000 before my September paycheque. I also have small amounts of money trickling in from side hustles.

Goal is to each $100,000 by Summer 2020. A good chunk of this will be used as a downpayment, but I won't be purchasing until 2021 at the earliest.

Welcome to the thread, just to clarify, this is a thread for net worth of 10k >>> 100k. This is not the save as that $50k thread where the goal was to save $50k period. So unless you're debt free you might have to adjust your numbers if you're trying to remain accurate to the thread. Also might want to consider what else might affect your net worth in terms of other assets (retirement, hsa, etc) besides your savings account.

Ah, okay. I have no debt, but I also don't own a home. My car is a 1997 Chevy that I paid $900. Runs good, but don't know if I'd be able to sell it, so won't count that! I have lots of high priced kitchen gear, which would go for high dollar on the resale market, but I won't count those either as they are too easy to inflate.

I have two defined pension accounts. 1 of them I'm vested in but have only made around $6,000 in contributions. Since it's defined benefit, it's hard to figure out a value. There is a commuted value if I ever wanted to take it, but I have no idea what it would be. So let's say $3000 to be on the safe side.

The other pension account, I'm not vested in. I've made $7,678.96‬ in contributions. Since I'm not vested, the agreement is that I can take back all my contributions if I were to ever leave the career before being vested (another 4 more years worth of employment). So I can count that entire amount.

$65,536.55 + $7,678.96 + $3,000 = ‬ $76,215.51

I'm closer than I thought I was :)

Just contacted my former pension plan. Commuted value is difficult to calculate and I'll get a figure in six months. But I was assured I will get at least my contributions + interest, so: $6,826.01

So my current net worth:
$65,536.55 + $7,678.96 + $6,826.01 = ‬ $80,041.52‬  Woot!

Now as fun as that exercise was, I'm going to retract my own statement a little and say that generally there are things, completely up to your discretion, that are indeed better off excluded. I think an easy example is like an apartment deposit, you know it's your money technically, but it could go away depending on certain factors. So remember that a bird in hand is worth more than 2 in the bush and just be realistic with what you have, will have, and might not actually have for a long period or ever.

In your case it seems those things you mentioned are included/excluded accordingly:)

Kind of side-eyeing this, because I feel like I have to missing something. But if I am I can't find it.

My work has a wellness rewards program where you can do stuff to get Amazon gift cards: an annual wellness check, a month-long fitness challenge, etc. They also have online learning modules. I signed up for one on growing an emergency fund back in September, figuring I'd eyeroll my way through it as a Moderately Frugal Person with a pre-existing e-fund, and cash in my $50 without doing anything I wouldn't have been doing already. And damned if it didn't actually end up being helpful--I've never been that big on automated transfers, but it made me automate an additional savings stream that FOR SURE helped me through the financial carnage of 2019. I just completed the last challenge step, so now I'm up a few hundred dollars in savings AND $50 for Amazon. Win-win.

July 12, 2019: $66,565

It took me 11 years to get there.
I live in Hungary, so my salary (~$1.5k/month net including yearly bonus and benefits) is quite low compared to the US ones :)

Long-time lurker, first post!

Usually track my net worth quarterly, but may start doing it more often.

4/1/18 - 8,288.95
11/14/18 - 17,977.82
3/30/19 - 24,649.79
7/1/19 - 29,604.18

I count cash, checking account, savings accounts, Roth IRA, 401h, 457, and HSA balance. I also throw $3000 in for the value of my car. KBB gave me that value, I somewhat doubt I could fetch that for it - but it's good enough for me in regards to this exercise. I also have a defined benefit pension plan through my work, but I do not count any of it's value towards my net worth as it's difficult to translate current value vs. potential value. Carry no debt of any sort at the moment.

Wait WHAT!! I made it!! I definitely wasn't expecting it. In fact, I completely forgot to check my networth at the beginning of the month, only just did it. I got a very generous 2k gift from my parents (thank you, mom and dad!) and the markets were very nice to me as well.

So I guess I graduate this thread earlier than I anticipated! Thank you all for the support along the way! See you all in the next thread :)
