I was not going to join this challenge - AT ALL! :)
I enjoy wearing pretty clothes, fashion and design, not to mention color and a bit of sparkle:) on occasion.
However, the reason I decided to join this challenge is simply that it is time to clear out the closet. I am challenging myself not just to de-clutter, but get a bit radical in the process this year.
I may be left with a half-empty closet and a very short list of new things, incl. a pair of sandals, one pair of flip-flops (I'm a shoe murderer), three tops and one bottom, plus one dress and two PJ bottoms (I have none left-the last one just gave up the ghost:).
I may have a couple of tops altered to fit better instead of purchasing new since I only acquired them new last year. Hopefully, that will save me some money in the process and decrease my need from three new tops to just one.
I still have a couple of gift cards so that should help keep expenses down as well.
FWIW I've bought nothing in 2019 so far.
My goal is to keep spending to around $200 total, given that the flip flops alone are $45 - yeah, well, old ladies need good footwear:), but I'm hoping to find a nice pair of sandals at the discount store for around $25.
If I only need one new top - then hopefully that will cost me nothing (gc). The alteration of two tops should be no more than $30.
PJ bottoms I am hoping to find at the store where I have a store credit - so "FREE".
A pair of shorts or a skirt and a dress - that depends entirely upon what I find.
For fall-winter, all I need is a nice jacket and a new top, although strictly speaking a new fall top is really more of a want, but I do so enjoy buying something new for the new season. Always an uplifting experience for me:).
I'll keep an eye out at the thrift store for a jacket, but no need to buy yet unless I find a good deal.
Well, I hope this still fits within the boundaries of this challenge - if not feel free to throw me out.
I'll report back in once I am done de-cluttering and actually made some purchases.
