One Song: One Improvement

Regularly, we lock the thread and start a new one so people aren't receiving notifications for the rest of their lives.

The idea: You know those tasks that are quick and really improve your day, but you avoid like the plague? This thread supports us to set press play on the song of our choice and move on that task for the duration of the song. Extra Challenge: Whenever we see this thread because someone has bumped it up with a new "go", whoever is on it stops what they're doing, and joins in.

Stuff one might improve, depending on personal circumstances:

*improve minimalism: scan stuff
*improve personal security: shred stuff
*improve environment: put dry dishes away
*improve mood: write a thank you note
*improve body: do pushups
*improve blood sugar: eat some protein
*improve ambience: put the thing back into the storage room
*improve foot happiness: vacuum one room
*improve stress load: wash one unmentionable
*improve floor smoothness: wash one section of floor

@Dollar Slice is sponsoring us with one Jewish song per day of Chanukah, most recently Steven Bernstein - Chusen Kalah Mazel Tov https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5osBa1oI5ME. I'm all about the Jewish music. I'm also all about Spotify. There I was able to find that musician and that song, but not that musician doing that song, so I went with the latter.

I think that record label doesn't do Spotify for reasons of "they don't pay us real money for our work." :-/ It's a great album, though. I bought it as a pick-me-up present to myself when I was having a really bad day. :-)

Thanks @joonifloofeefloo for starting a new thread!

I have been so ill the last few days. Somewhat better now. Need too straighten up a bit at home, it's messy.

Starting with Driving home for christmas/Chris Rea and tidying the kitchen.

Okay, kid has successfully been prompted through all the steps and is in bed, dishes are done, stuff is set out for tomorrow, laundry is even happening, tea is set... Brain is alert after an accidental evening nap, so I want to take the opportunity to do one of the things I dread most.

Thanks for bumping this thread up, Serendip! Thursdays are my "day off", so I really tuck into admin paperwork, etc. I've done all I can now for today, and have started going in circles. As soon as I saw this thread pop up, I realized I need to OSW this.

Generation X: Dancing With Myself

*prompt kid (nonverbally)
*put project supplies away

When I have extra time on days off, it often leads to churning in spot rather than making much progress anywhere. That's why I love this micro-challenge!

Listened to some tracks from Aram Bajakian's Music Inspired by "The Color of Pomegranates" to get myself caught up on all the e-mails I've been feeling too blah to deal with lately. It's dark and sad and lonely music, which suits this time of year, for me.

Enjoy Xmas with your son. Xmas and kids is magical.  Spent the day cleaning for my company on Tuesday and playing Xmas music while I worked. My doggies followed me around all day so are pooped:))

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
