I'm in!

- No desserts/sweets for the month (reset after the holiday indulgence) Did it!

- Eat from your pantry (and mostly freezer, in my case) challenge  Solid effort but not perfect (I wanted too many salads!)

- Get back into my exercise routine, going to my exercise class at least 10x in the month  Definitely back in the routine (leaving to go again in an hour), but only made it 6 times due to scheduling, etc.

My life has changed enormously in 2018, which was my first full business year as a self employed person. So for January, I‘m hoping to:

- Fill some of the last gaps in my schedule with clients. Done for now, let's see how many stick with it!
- Invest in my ISA (UK tax free account) in order to hit the maximum allowance by April Done
- Fill up my emergency stash of about 3 months‘ living expenses - I depleted this to pay for a yearly train ticket which will save me £320 in 2019. Only £100 short
- Meet some more new people in London, as some old friends have moved away. Done, and re-connected with some old ones as well!

Other achievements:
- My savings rate is 60% this month, up from 40-50%.
- Was able to get a current account upgrade which includes access to a 5% interest Regular Savers account. Excited!
A good month overall.

Late to the party, but I'm in.

Goals:
1) Don't spend anything on myself - I spent $2 on "exchanging" some gloves at REI - apparently tax laws have changed?  Or the cashier was very lost on how to actually do an exchange.  I also bought a kitchen towel that I categorized as from my spontaneous fund, because we really don't need more kitchen towels.
2) Stick to our budget for groceries, household, and kid expenses - We blew our grocery budget on food for a big group trip last weekend :(  I also went over on kid expenses because Costco had diapers on sale, so I stocked up for our baby arriving in March.  Household, though - way under budget, yay!
3) Floss every night (this is my only 2019 resolution :) - Gah, I missed the 31st :(  It was our first night on our group trip, and our toddler was being unmanageable, and I just fell into bed.
4) Do 15 squats a day - I'm 30 weeks pregnant, and I'm definitely not diving into a new fitness routine right now, but this is 100% doable from now on. W00t, this one worked :)

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
