Well, I believe it's been ages since the last time I posted in this thread, but I had a great moment yesterday, so I thought I'd share.
For lent, I went off all wheat products, processed sugar, and generally additives that make food seem fake. It's not anything scientifically rigorous, and I cheat over the borders (sometimes a thing just needs a bit of honey or maple syrup!) in small amounts, but it's been working for me. My eating is hilariously 'clean' compared to a couple months ago.
Anyway, I hopped on the scale yesterday with a 20lb. sack of oats (used to be 25) to see how much I'd eaten of it, and I realized that, with the oats in my arms, I matched my earlier weight. So I handed over the bag to my wife and said "this is what I was carrying around 2 months ago."
So:
February 28: 256.5
May 9: 236.4
And with that, I'm down to my lowest in three years. Hopefully I'll keep on this trajectory, at least to 220. I think I'd be happiest at about 200, but at some points I've looked sickly thin weighing only that much. So, we'll see!
