Hello everyone,
Good to be back after a week of crazy travel and heading in for more travel next week.
Adge- congrats on making it into the normal BMI range, even if bingeing a bit. Must feel good.
soccerluvof4- easy and slow does it, but 40 pounds since the beginning of the year is not slow to me! Congrats on thinking long term.
elaine amj- oh man, if I had a dollar for every time I ate almost or all of a delicious dark chocolate bar, I'd be FIRE'd by now. Solution for me is not to buy them, unfortunately.
This week has been tough for me, but I am giving myself slack and keeping my sights forward. I traveled and ate out most days this week and it was tough to eat the same reasonable portions I do at home. I am jumping on a plane again tomorrow, coming back Tuesday, and flying again on Thursday, so I just need to keep strong and tell myself that it's ok to leave food on my plate, as bad as I feel about it. Today I had the day to myself and ate super reasonably when I was hungry. I did just have a late night snack, which is unusual for me, only because I gave in to temptation and bought white bread today, and did not buy peanut butter, which is how I usually quell the temptation to eat in the evening (one teaspoon of the stuff goes a long way).
In other great news, I am this close to paying off my student loans and being debt free for the first time in 10 years! One payment is processing and I am waiting for the square cash app to accept some money I transferred to myself so that I have enough for the final final payment. Feels good but I keep checking the app literally every 5 minutes to see if the money is there yet. Patience....patience.
