« on: May 07, 2015, 06:32:45 PM »
This year is the Total Life Change Year :
1) Changed to Paleo Lifestyle Lost 15 lbs since Jan. cholesterol down 20 points BP 118/72 from 140/90.Need to loose more fat. Need to exercise even more.
2) Started biking to work a week earlier this year and plan to go till November at least.
3) Plan on increasing 401k contribution periodically by 1% until at 30 % at least, have already gone from 9% to 13% this year so far. Long road a head but gotta do it.
4) Plan on running one 5K per month starting this month. Only ran one last year total.
5) Increase my Mortgage early payoff paying at least 5 extra payments this year.

Keep up the good work!

1. Not a fan of paleo myself but glad it is working for you.

2. Biking to work makes work tolerable! Have you joined the monthly cycling thread? Also, as you get closer, lots of folks around here including myself can give advice on winter biking.

5. What is the rate on the mortgage? Probably far better off maxing 401(k), IRA, and an HSA if available first.

Nice job Wannabe!  I'll take you up on that as it is very similar to what i'm doing.  I'll stop by once a month to check in.

I'm in the middle of :
1. paying off the 2nd mortgage in less than a year (50,000 debt) then banking the 358.00 payments into my Aristocrats Dividend Stock fund.
2. paying off the car then banking the 497.00 payments in my wife's Roth IRA (15,000 debt)
3. cut fried food and soda out of the diet

This is the year for you.  This is the year for me.  It's been a great first 4 months.  Make the next 8 months the stuff of legend.
