Pacific island with free land

Looks like expenses there are about $10,000 (Currency not listed, assume it's NZD): http://www.immigration.pn/FAQ.php

Pitcairn is 3000 miles from New Zealand, which is already a LOOOONG plane ride from anywhere. It may be beautiful, but if you are a social creature at all, it would be no better than living on Mars.

So Pitcairn is served by a supply boat that leaves French Poly once a quarter (every 3 months)- there is no airport- its remote, on top of that there was a major trail a few years ago... you might want to read about before deciding to move. I already live on a small island (pop 200K) and that seems remote enough

That's why it's called "Throw Down the Gauntlet" :)

Reminds me of the Ascension Islands....just nothing there and no tourism to drive the economy.

I'll stick with Hawaii at retirement

Is this not the place that's inbred and they have a sexual assault and justice issue?

Yeah, can see why people aren't flocking to be stuck on that island with no escape for 3 month.

I'm actually kinda tempted. But I think I would only go with a partner, and initially only for a trial period to see how nuts the other 50 people are.
