Assets:
Savings: $11,407

2021 Goal: (248K)

I knew this wasn't going to be a great month as my savings were low and the market moved backwards. I should be able to reach my goal without a problem as I just maxed out my 401k for the year and December will be a 3 paycheck month for me!

Mortgage (EUR 295K)
Personal pension investments and Liquid Assets (without house value & company pension) EUR 71K

Net debt
July 2020 (EUR 314K) - started tracking
December 2020 (EUR 293K)
December 2021 (EUR 260K)
December 2022 (EUR 236K)

January 2023 (EUR 232K)
February 2023 (EUR 234K)
March 2023 (EUR 232K)
April 2023 (EUR 231K)
May 2023 (EUR 225K)
June 2023 (EUR 223K)
July 2023 (EUR 222K)
August 2023 (EUR 221K)
September 2023 (EUR 222K)
October 2023 (EUR 222K)
November 2023 (EUR 224K)

STRETCH Goal for 2023: (EUR 210K)

A little backwards move because we already prepaid several items for our big family trip next year (like..... plane tickets..... to China!). This will be the last big family trip before our kids will head off to college I think, so we will do this in 2024! I'm not worried about not reaching my goal due to this. We have saved/budgetted for this trip, so in a few years time we will say it is just a little dip in our upward journey (and very much worth it....).

               NOV 2023 ($196,611)

November was an excellent month. If the market hold, I will reach my goal simply by making my mortgage payment this month. My stretch goal remains a possibility as December is a three paycheck month for me, with any excess cash going into my taxable accounts! Good luck to everyone else participating in reaching your yearly goals!

STRETCH Goal for 2024: (EUR 200K)

If we had not prepaid the China trip, we would have reached our goal for 2023, so I'm happy! For 2024 I have a slightly smaller goal this year, since we are expecting some major expenses. The China trip, dental work for our DS and some work on our house (painting/remodelling etc). So happy new year to all of you!

Wow! What a great year, I ended the year ~$1,000 away from my stretch goal (In reality, I reach my stretch goal as I saved $2,000 which I invested into my IRA which would have been placed in the taxable had I followed through on my plan)! It is exciting to see everyone making solid progress on their overall debt this year, congratulations!

I am unsure how to plan for next year as I will be moving and starting a new job this spring. My mortgage debt is likely to increase some, but it should not be substantial. For now, I would like to make my goals as if things were continuing the same for 2024 as they were in 2023 and make adjustments as the year continues and my financial outlook becomes more clear.

I've adjusted my stretch goal...... with the current pace for 2024 and my expected salary increase / bonus opportunities for 2024 (only waiting for the paperwork to materialize), it really seems doable!

Still on track..... Next months I'm expecting an increase in net debt, due to major expenses (travel (estimated at around EUR 15K) and braces for DS (estimated at around EUR 4K)). The salary increase was put in writing, so that will also kick in next month.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
