Advice for someone with 75K
« on: June 05, 2017, 12:45:25 PM »
My wife and baby live way below our means. We live on about 38K a year, I make about 45K with benefits. My wife quit her job 9 months ago to be a stay at home mom.

We have a huge savings of 75K. We are trying to figure out what to do with it.

We want a house. A small one. We have been looking for a while and cant find anything in our area that is affordable.

We are toying around with the idea of dumping 10k (5k in my Roth adn 5k in hers) in our retirement. Possibly doing it a second time.

It will still leave us enough to put down on a house.

Any thoughts or advice on what to do with a stack of cash?

Hi jallred22 - if you would like some feedback, go ahead and post this in the "Ask a Mustachian" section.

Have a look at the Case Study section as well:)
