Apparently it has been three months? I honestly don't even remember reading some of these, though my kindle assures me they were 100% completed? so?
The Good:
Persuasion - I had never read it. I had a lit professor who told me to wait until I was "grown up." She was right. I would have missed out on so much if I had read it at age 20! It is beautiful. Top 10 all-time book for me.
The Blue Castle LM Montgomery continues to serve this year! I'm afraid to keep going because I feel like I may have read all of the quality books? But Blue Castle was a sweet and lightly humorous delight. Lots of convenient plot, but it didn't even matter to me.
Being Mortal Excellent non-fiction. Recommended in the forum in a convo about aging.
Temple of Fortuna third in a series. Probably the weakest stand-alone, but excellent as a series wrap up.
A Night to Remember apparently the definitive retelling of the Titanic from first person witnesses? I believe it was written in the 50s and the author spent years interviewing survivors - GRIPPING! Not quite Into Thin Air level, but glad I read it.
North Woods Yep - excellent
The Absolutely Bonkers:
Real Self-Care actually a great book, but the intro threw me for a major loop - had to reread a couple of times to make sure I was reading it correctly.
Apparently the author got burned out in med school, left her husband, quit her residency and joined a female orgasm cult for a few years? This apparently is why is REALLY good at spotting fake self care
Anyway- bonkers aside, I actually found it helpful.
Everything else? Mostly forgetable to Meh.
