US Expats in France - Do You Do Your Own Taxes?
« on: November 23, 2017, 01:14:48 AM »
I found the filing taxes experience for 2016 in France to be a minor nightmare, but I've been doing my own taxes for years and was not willing to give up on that just becaused I moved to a new country. I wonder if there's anyone else who would be interested in sharing tax experiences.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I already did my 2016 taxes in France myself. Looking for other intrepid souls who are also willing to take on this complexity. We can share our experiences.

I would 100% find someone who specializes in american expat taxes to handle the french side + American. It is super complex IMO and well worth the money to hand off. Esp because you can loose so much money if you don't file the double tax + credit stuff effectively.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
