Uber - Deductions?

If you drive for Uber, are you eligible to subtract your expenses for the car from your income?

Short answer: you deduct expenses on the vehicle OR the mileage at the IRSs mileage rate for the tax year.

I deduct mileage. Not expenses.

You could use a notebook and write down mileage or there are many apps you can use to track the miles.

I just track the mileage from leaving my house and until I'm back home. Door to Door.
