SF Bay area accountant recommendation?
« on: February 28, 2017, 11:05:08 AM »
Anyone here in the bay area have a great accountant to recommend? Ours is great but way pricey. He definitely saves us more than he costs, but I suspect a less expensive (like $2000!) one could do the same.
I used to do our taxes, then my husband became a contractor and our tax need surpassed my skill level.

I suspect the lack of answers suggests a reality...

Great accountants aren't easy to locate--and they aren't going to be inexpensive.

Restated from my point of view as a CPA firm owner, it's pretty easy to find twenty or thirty great clients and it's pretty difficult to find a single great CPA to add to our team.

Thank you for the response!

Also I do realize probably a lot of mustachians do their own taxes and have no truck with accountants. Our current guy is starting his own firm and supposed to have lower rates, so if that's true perhaps we just stick it out with him.
