Title: Guide to business deductions in 2018?
Post by: Vilgan on January 12, 2018, 12:08:11 AM
Hi all,

I've read a variety of info about changes in the taxes in 2018. However, most of it seems focused on the new pass through deduction or changes to personal taxes.

Is there a clear explanation anyone can provide or point to that explains the change in each deduction category?

Some examples:
Meals - can't entertain clients, but do business meetings at restaurants count?
Meals - How about meals we supply for people at the office?
Meals when traveling?
Snacks that are purchased for the office? Example: coffee, fruit, etc.

Heh, I guess most of my questions are around food. The rest seems fairly unchanged, at least for what I am deducting.

If relevant, we have an accountable plan that defines what will be reimbursed by the business.
