Deductions for gas on a company truck?
« on: January 07, 2018, 01:52:24 PM »
I drive a company pick up truck for work, but I have to pay for gas (but not the maintenance).

Should I be tracking the expenses here and deducting this somehow? I'd use about $50/wk on average.

thanks!

I'm not an expert, but here's a start. It looks like unless you itemize, and your gas exceeds 2% of your income, and you're normally traveling out of your metro area for work, then the answer is no. You can read the following to get an idea of whether you can.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
