Thanks for the help everyone! Does anyone have an opinion regarding Credit Karma's free online tax service?   It's supposedly completely free.  I use CK to track my credit score, and I keep seeing ads for it.  It's it worth trying?

I'm using it this year. I've already filled out my federal info, but they're not letting me fill in my state info yet. Overall, I think it's fine, but it is a little rough around the edges and is not quite as user friendly as some other services I've used in the past. I think it would be prudent to double check CK's results against another service or a draft paper copy of your own. It's also wise to compare the current year's results to last year's results (assuming your income, deductions, etc. are similar year-to-year) no matter what filing method you use.

I still do my taxes with the pencil and paper method - sort of.  I download the .pdfs and type the numbers into them.  I guess I should call it the .pdf and keyboard method.
