Window fixed in wife's car
« on: May 26, 2015, 06:03:25 AM »
So the rear passenger window in my wife's car has stubbornly refused to go up or down for the last several months. Since it was stuck in the up position we didn't worry about it for the winter, but now that it's heating up I had to finally do something about it.

Between Google and YouTube I was able to diagnose the problem as the window motor/regulator assembly. Bought an after market replacement online and took the door apart and replaced it on Sunday morning. I surprised myself when I got it replaced and working in a little over an hour, with zero additional trips to the hardware store. I had pessimistically figured on it taking most of the day, along with most of the skin on my knuckles.

So, the window is now working; and I was able to do a bunch of other stuff with the time I thought I would be working on the car. Sweet!

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
