Today was fall/winter clothing shopping for our family. I've yet to find a reasonably close, quality thrift shop just for kids so I'm leaving out their clothing purchases from this post because there was zero demonstration of badassity in that regard. None. Full on retail, I wanted to get out of the mall as fast as humanly possible before I started to itch.
But, there is an awesome upscale resale boutique for women that was having 20% for Veterans Day so I went in. I got one pair of pants (grey/pewter fine corduroys), two long sleeved shirts (nicer and silkier than t-shirts but very soft) - one in burgundy and one in black, one black/white sleeveless cowl neck sweater (to wear over the long sleeved jersey tops) and one piece I was super excited about. It was a long sleeved black Magaschoni cashmere sweater.
These bad boys retail for between $250-300. I got mine for $93. It's in great condition and is super soft. I will wear it for years to come.
I'm pretty happy with my new winter uniform. I got higher quality than I otherwise could have afforded and buying secondhand I'm free from fast fashion/environmental impact related guilt.
