Transformed my sit desk into stand desk with $0
« on: April 06, 2013, 07:20:23 AM »
Recently I was planning to setup a stand desk with my existing sit desk. I received many friendly advice and recommendation from family and friends on the topic.

In the end I decided to get creative and searched around the house to find something I can use for this little project I am set to accomplish. And I found:

- 2 cartons boxes, for my induction cooker and weighing scale.
- Books, tons of books.

So, long story short:

My desk transformed from this:

to this:

and I am happy. ^^

I have a bad back and thought about something like this in the past while working. In the end I decided to just stand up about every thirty minutes and that has been working for me.

Standing up for a long period of time at a computer has it's own challenges at least for me. Think you may end up alternating between sitting and standing positions.

Ya, for maybe about 1-2 hours of standing, I need sit down and read a book or maybe just lie down to rest me feet (the bed is just beside the desk).

The stand desk mostly for me to write my blog and replying email. So far it still works out well for me. ^^
