Swagbucks
« on: January 27, 2014, 01:05:52 PM »
Ok, I'm usually a skeptic on these types of things...but after 2 weeks of use, I've made about $50 worth of gift cards that I've used for my budget, replacing cash and keeping my earned income in my bank account!  And honestly I'm not pushing using it...maybe a fre hours messing with it total...

This thing actually works.

I checked out the site and filled the daily poll and one long survey.   My impression is I'd be lucky to accumulate $5 per hour with offerings that don't require signing up (paying) for things.

I also tried this a while back just for kicks. It seemed like I could make $5 per DAY. Most of the surveys would reject me for one reason or another, probably because I'm a lousy consumer that doesn't watch TV, buy new cars or go on expensive vacations/cruises. I ended up wasting tons of time trying to qualify for surveys that would just reject me (even some surveys that Swagbucks said were a good match for me). There were occasionally surveys that were an excellent fit, such as a Seattle mayoral election poll, a financial products/aptitude survey, and one or two phone/bank advertising focus groups. But I had to weed through at least ten for every good one I found.

What's the secret?

I dont do too many of the items that earn you 1 or 2....I usually stick to 300 or more.  If it's free, I do it. I just give them a email address I use for things like this (spam) and a old phone number so that I dont get spammed.

I have used this site for a few years.  The surveys are a waste of time, but I have found success with using its search engine. Also, there are a lot of special offers you can take advantage of for zero or low cost.
I haven't used the shopping portal. For that I prefer, TopCashBack or BigCrumbs.

Anyone had account issues with swagbucks? I only used it for a few days but now it says my account was deactivated. I've sent two customer support requests but no reply.
And I was just about to cash out my $5 amazon card..
I don't know how much they monitor. I took a couple surveys where I clicked the middle answer on everything. Don't know if that would get me kicked out?

Yes - that would get you "kicked out".  It invalidates the answers for their clients.  You agreed not to do this when you signed up.

That's lame. I didn't think they could tell. Then it's totally not worth it, took forever getting through that survey even without read the questions!

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
